The protection of people and property as a goal

100 years of Labor Strauss

Labor Strauss is celebrating a special anniversary this year: 100 years have passed since the "Laboratorium Strauss" was founded by Siegmund Strauss. A reason to celebrate and look to the future with optimism.

At the beginning of the 20th century, the Austrian physicist and inventor Siegmund Strauss was ahead of his time with his research in the field of radio technology. He discovered the feedback principle in 1912 and invented, among other things, a resistance amplifier and an X-ray dosimeter. In 1924, Siegmund Strauss founded the "Laboratorium Strauss" in Vienna. From then until today, the arc spans all the way to operating the fire detection system on the smartphone.

Since entering the field of building security technology in the 1960s, the protection of people and property has been the primary goal of Labor Strauss. The aim is to warn people of approaching dangers in an optimal and timely manner and to provide the best possible protection in the event of an emergency. We are aware of this great responsibility and develop solutions that are easy to use, safe and future-orientated. Responsibility, reliability and trust are among the pillars of our corporate strategy. We attach equal importance to communication at eye level and the careful use of resources. We look back on 100 years of pioneering spirit and passion for extraordinary technical solutions and face the challenges of the future with professionalism and innovation.
